It is designed to attach to ones key ring so as to be readily accessible for use in a possible distressing situation. The alarm is activated by pressing the base of the energy cell, and will sound continuously for one minute as long as the cell remains pressed. There is a raised cruciform across the entrance of the aperture on the side of the alarm which is so shaped so that the sound cannot be deliberately muted. The top of the alarm can be easily unclipped so to insert a new energy cell if required. The see-through plastic package contains a complete Key-Ring personal alarm, a spare Energy Cell, a metal split ring to attach the alarm to house or car keys, and a safety / instruction leaflet.
